Scattershooing while wondering what ever happend to ......

Where is Blackie Sherrod when you really need him? I was at the game, but not many other people where there. I did notice a lot of pre-school children in the reserved seat sections. This is a good sign that SMU has attracted the young adult generation. As usual there were moire La TEch fans there than SMU students. The channel 52 broadcast may have killed the gate. Once the public saw on TV what has happening, it probably helped kill future gates too. As for the game, the only bright spot was the kicking game. The defense looked helpless and slow. The offense was characterized by interceptions, dropped passes, and penalties. I don't foresee winning again this year. And that's the name of that game.

As I still wonder about what ever happened to Blackie Sherrod, I want to mention that SMU deserves a team worthy team worthy of the venue for their games. Also, the amateur female who was broadcasting on the public PA has got to go. The stands seemed so empty that it is hard to believe the attendance figure of 13,000 plus fans were present for the game. I like the La Tech uniform design better than ours. The SMU cheerleaders have a lot of knockout blondes in their company. The alumni mustang band played Peruna pretty well and often. And that's the name of that game.

Sam

The female voice on the PA during the game was a supporters daughter. Did you not notice that it was kids day at Ford? That is why all the kids were in attendance. This is an annual event to help build a future fan base.

Thanks for noticeing and mentioning the alumni band. Now there is a group of real supporters. These folks attend rehearsals, provide their own instruments, most are Diamond M Club members (www.diamondmclub.org), many are Mustang Club members and they never give up. They will be there regardless, much like the Mustang Band "The Hub of SMU Spirit".
Just send 'da money.

I agree about the girls getting up there are calling plays.......when your team is getting kicked and then you hear a seven year old calling the game......its just makes matters worse. I mean take my money and kick me in the balls.
