I can't believe I picked the upset here. I am embarrassed and ashamed of myself. This program went to new depths tonight. I have been a strong defender of Bennett the last few years but some of things I am seeing out there reflect poorly on our coaching. We give up so many big plays on defense. That 3rd and 10 for the 93 yard touchdown was just mind boggling. No. 12 is just a piece of toast out there........if he is the best corner we have opposite Humphrey then we are in trouble....

I don't mind losing, because my expectations are that low at this point......but I am not seeing any improvement from this team and we are more than half way through. I don't have so many problems with the offense as I do with the defense. I thought Bennett was a great defensive coach and our defense has been nothing but lousy since he has been here.

To lose that way at home was probably the worst loss this season.

That strech of plays with our backup QB at WR was absurd.

I know that we are young and our talent level has a long way to go, but I don't see any positives anywhere.

If I were a potential recruit with good size and talent and I witnessed week in and week out what's been going on, I would be avoiding SMU like herpes. The situation will feed on itself deeper and deeper. This is why the "5 year plan" theory is so often flawed. I kept hearing that from the Cavan supporters, and also with Nord when he was at UTEP- what a joke! There have to be some wins pretty soon or the next recruiting class will usher SMU into I-AA.

Only RA's bookie was happy

Talk is cheap and RA puts his money where is mouth is. Even if it was only chump change, a man ought to get value for his dollar. Many of us would have lost big on this sucker bet. Once is enough. Save the dough. Watch the cooking channel iron chef challenges, or something else that won't deflate your ego and your billfold.
