It was fantastic to see the 1989 team back at SMU. Coach Gregg still looks a little like Jack Palance, and looks great.
Several players looked like they could still play: Dan Freiburger, Matt Hart, Mike Henderson, Michael Bowen, Oscar Rosales, and Ramon Flanigan, who wasn't on that team but I saw him at the game and he looked great.
Hats off to those alums. I just wish there was a bigger crowd there to cheer those guys one more time.

Matt Hart and Oscar Rosales look like LBs now, not OLs.
I think I also saw Mike Bowen and Dan Freiburger, and they look like they still could get out there and give it a go.
Good to see those guys on campus again - what a terrific bunch of Mustangs.
Much Love to my Teammates...

What a great time I had with all my teammates over the weekend. Everyone looked great and what a bunch of good looking kids we all have. It is nice to see what a greta bunch of men we all turned out to be. I have to believe that our experiences on the hilltop and our experiences being on that 1989 team paved the way for all olf our successes. Boy I love those guys and all of our coaches. Thanks to all the fans and AThletic Department personnel that helped make this weekend a very special moment in my life. Also, I want to thank Coach Bennett who supported and initiated bringing family and traditions back to the hilltop. Go Coach Bennett...we are with you!!!!!

It was great seeing all those guy's from the 89 team. It was an honor to have Bill Kiely and my good friend Michael Bowen hanging out at the Special Delivery tent. If the players on the current team played with the heart and passion that these two guy's did, SMU would be at least 4-3.

Keily and Bowen were indeed great Mustangs - but I'm proud of all the Mustangs on that team.
It was a real thrill for me to see that bunch back on the field. Here's hoping that reunion becomes an annual thing, because that's a team that all SMU fans should admire.
