Good pickup, SMullet.
Last March, Copeland also promised to [1] write a weekly column and [2] have some columns from the management 'team'. On point 1, he has missed 1/3 of the weeks & on [2] no one from the mgmt team has written anything. Call it what you want, commitment, follow-through, finish-what-you-start, back up the talk with actions, etc. It should start at the top.
I think I remember Castro doing a pretty good job during the basketball season last year ('The Castro Report').
I think he also gave up on it as the season appeared to come to a disappointing halt. Especially after he got ROCKED in his hometown and on a national stage. (OSU vs. SMU in OKC on ESPN........ whoa....)
No doubt he quit due to the negativity of Stallion on the board. Here is a hypothetical transcript of their communications.
Stallion: Because I am a lawyer, I know everything about SMU football. Adami, I remember when you were a freshman in high school. I thought about recruiting you before the coaching staff. Adami: That is really creepy. Stallion: Why don't you guys try hard? Bo17 and I don't think that you do. I question your commitment to the team. Adami: Shutup idiot, don't you go the games? Stallion: No, I prefer to read Rivals on Saturday instead of actually watching football.
