I like this idea. Maybe we could get a country singer to give the post-game a little local flava. Randy Travis anyone?! Dolly Parton?? what about Waylon Jennings!!!!!?

Better yet, bring in Jackopierce, Jack Ingram and Edie Brickell for three home games.
(For all you "flackers", yes, I know Jackopierce is no longer "together." Maybe they could re-unite for a good cause--supporting our Mustangs!!)

Didn't we try this idea a couple years ago? But of course, in typical SMU fashion, it was a concert in Moody after the football game (no incentive to go to the GAME itself), and it was a Christian rock band, something that a limited audience is interested in.
There is, however, a concert at halftime every week.

Hope all you band alums on here are ready to join us for homecoming. I can't wait to make that 'big-a$$ Diamond M' on the field one last time as an undergrad.

They could also impersonate a coaching staff during the game

The game would probably run off most of the fans, heaven knows we don't need to run off the rest.

Actually, it's the guy on the left that's dead.

If Waylon Jennings plays Ford, I'm there. Mostly because I'm a huge fan, and he's dead. Jackopierce played a "reunion" gig for the money in NYC earlier this year, but I wouldn't expect them in Dallas anytime soon. Legitimate bad blood between those two.

we could get janet jackson to come in and take off her bra, that would sell tickets. or we could have mtv to a halftime show with topless women. that would work too!
