When will this program hit the bottom? Didn't Bob Knight recently not accept a paycheck from Tech due to the performance of his team last year. I wonder if Bennett feels guilty every time he gets paid.

I wish Bennett would have given my son half a chance. Donnie didn't have big numbers in HS because of my military transfers, but he could read defenses like a book. He has instinct. I don't see how Bennett could be any worse off with or without my son.

Forgive me, PonyPa, for my ignorance. Who is your son? The only Don I'm aware of is Iaremia-Stansbury...another on the roster? Or perhaps last year?

Did anybody really think SMU could do well on the road? Not this year. I wonder when.

RGV,

2002 Cavan recruit. He was among the first victims of Bennett's "cleaning house" moves. Lot of good came from it :( Both Bennett and my son lost in that ordeal.

Well PPP, I'd agree with you...couldn't have been any worse! Especially if your son's a QB. How did things turn out for him? Did he transfer?

He walked on and made the team at Texas A&M Kingsville, but hurt his knee. He is rehabbing from the surgery and will walk on a D-1 team next fall. He has the arm and the instinct. A joy to watch (and not just cuz he is my son.. )we go the rounds like fathers and young adult sons do, but his work on the football field was awesome. I sure hopes he gets to do it, again.

Let me know when he gets where he's going. Best of luck.
