Just curious, where are all of those people who questioned Phillips when the offense wasnt moving early on? Not a word about Eckerts decision making and effectiveness. I personally don't blame Eckert, I think the problems on offense have been Oline and receivers all along. Phillips is one of the best players on this team and SMU is missing him more than most people think. Anybody heard about his redshirt year?

Wasn't it reported in the DMN after the LaTech debacle, that he would be getting a red-shirt year.

HF, I was thinking the same thing. I believe he and Muse are the two most physically talented guys on our team. It was reported in the DMN that Phillips will get a medical redshirt this year.

Unfortunately, we may be experiencing the same bad movie as last year.....the team quitting on our coach. These losses are similar to the 40 point blowout to Rice that Dement faced last year. I know we are bad, but these are lower end division I teams we are getting blown out by.
