Tough season, but credit your players and staff. There was no quit in them tonight and they played their hearts out.

Thanks. I really needed to hear that. We don't have enough talent to win (or even compete) in a game when we give away 4 turnovers and get none in return, but I'm glad to hear there was no quit in our guys and certainly hope that's true.
It sounded like (from the radio broadcast) that our guys reacted poorly to the early turnovers that put us behind. There's no question our guys have a confidence issue. It's tough to build confidence when you are getting whipped game after game. We will find out what kind of character these guys have these last 3 games.

I've met a handful of the guys on our team. Based on my interaction with those guys, and based on what I've heard from people who know them much better than I do who say the guys on our team have amazing character. Most of them, I'm told, still believe firmly in Coach Bennett and his staff. And as Dogmonger says, they don't seem to quit. Ever. By all accounts, we have a remarkable group of young men playing for us. I just hope beyond hope that they get to enjoy another win this year.
See you at Ford next week -- Go SMU!

until Bennett is given his walking papers, do not expect SMU to win again! Have you guys ever heard of being outcoached?
Last season bennett said we're a freshman team.
This season"Now we are a JV team"
Camp is going well, we finally have depth at every position"
two shutouts later- I think it is time for him to step down
Please hire Rick Neuheisel!

Some of the JV teams at some of the 5A powerhouses in the Metroplex could probably beat this team right now.
