The athletic department runs a HUGE deficit every year over and above what ticket sales, television and Mustang Club contribute. They had to drop Men's track because they COULDN'T AFFORD TO KEEP IT. So, unless you can drop a cool $2-4 Million to buy out contracts and hire a new coach, it is real easy to spend other people's money.
