Their coach may have even been trying to help save Bennett's job by not embarassing him further. We probably won't be playing FSU in the future, so their act of self-restraint was not even motivated by self-interest about preventing the antagonizing of a team they will have to play again. It is easy to overlook these little things in the midst of offenseless misery. By the way, SMU has not had productive QB's since Flanagan. Coaching also accounts for recruiting you know.
