If SMU were losing this year and we were playing mistake free football, we looked cohesive and disciplined on the field, I would say Keep Bennett!

However, we look sloppy and unorganized we are our constantly plagued with mistakes and penalties, this is the mark of an undsiplined team, IE for all you whiz kids this is the mark of coaching!

For the last time can we please Move On!

Bring in a proven winner, R.C. Slocum could do more next year, let's bring in a proven winner! Bennett was a gamble that didn't pay off! It's time to fold in this game of texas Hold 'Em and bring in a coach with a new system.

The farther these players have been removed from Cavan's system the worse this team has looked and that my friends says it all!

From what I hear from the players, Bennett usually has a pretty good game plan. A head coach has to be more than an X and O guy. He has to be a good manager and troubleshooter. My concern is, has he lost the players. I just don't see any chemistry building. The players have to know and feel the coach has their back and is totally committed to them as a person as well as a Saturday afternoon player. Unity and chemistry is built from from this mutual respect.

I don't think it is too late for Bennett but I think it is obvious he needs to enhance some locker room issues. Hopefully, that focus will translate into negaiting some of these turnovers in the redzone and elimination of mistakes. I don't think it's a question of effort or work with this team, I think it more mental, that's where mistakes are generally made anyway.

The Chemistry Building is Fondren Science it is located on then North side of campus just to the North-east of Dallas Hall. Ok all joking aside there is no chemistry on this team but its hard to pull together when you are getting beat like they are. Losses can bring a team together but those are close losses not 44-0 and the like. Unfortunately that has what has happened here. SHould Bennet go, probably so, I know we are all tired of, "Well the team just wasnt prepared for blah blah". That is his job as head coach.

Its real easy to blame Bennett...........When I look on that field I see little to no talent. It would be different if we saw a lot of athletic plays being made and then some bone mistakes/penalties that you could chalk up to coaching......but let's be serious, we are running a spread offense with no talent at receiver what-so-ever. I don't see any flash of great plays being made on either side of the ball. SMU Players......go ahead and bullentin board this......."You have shown no talent and no heart"

The last bulletin board that I am aware of was that a sports writer had identified SMU as a "cupcake game" for Rice. Apparently bulletin board messages have very little affect on this team.
