Let's just say TCU loses the rest of their games...that's not that big of a stretch, but I think they will beat Tulane. Then let's say that SMU wins their last two. We have the same record and they are equal in big wins because we will have beaten a very good UTEP team and they beat Northwestern who I consider to be their best win. If you think about it that way our record looks better because I believe UTEP to be better than any of their wins thus far. They'd have to beat LU or USM to beat that. Just a thought. Not really a big deal, but might be huge for recruiting in the Metroplex.

great but recruiting is about 65% over as far as the top players are concerned.

That, and the little fact that they beat the ever living snot out of us.

And then there's the fact that in the eyes of recruits, they'd look at the teams and say "OK, TCU whipped SMU. Since then, SMU has righted the ship and appears headed in the right direction. TCU seems to be nosediving. And SMU is in Dallas. And Ford Stadium makes Amon Carter look like a condemned building. And TCU plays in a conference that my family won't be able to see road games without robbing a bank. And .... this is easy -- I'm going to SMU."
I don't see us beating UTEP, and I don't see the frogs going 0-fer, but it sure would be nice.

Well then, most of the TCU players' "professions" might actually come in handy.
