OK, folks, it's that time again - we're getting close to game time, and the board has been awkwardly quiet today. So get your bookies on the line, because here's what we're going to see (I hope) Saturday:

- Two interceptions by Rolando Humphrey
- Five tackles for loss (combined) by Desmond Jones and Allan Adami
- A touchdown catch (each) for Bobby Chase, Ryan Kennedy and Jay'Mond Cleveland
- 270 passing yards from Tony Eckert and/or Jerad Romo
- 150 rushing yards (combined) from Foy Munlin and Cedrick Dorsey and Richuel Massey
- Two field goals from Chris McMurtray
- Three sacks by the SMU defense
- Three Ryan Mentzel punts downed inside the 20

Rolando couldn't catch a cold, standing buck naked in the freezing rain!

It's SMU -7 points

Even though Nevada is 0-4 on the road, it is hard to bet on SMU to win anything this year. The odds makers rate us a 7 point underdog. I have no idea how well we match uyp against the Wolfpack either.

Rolando is very good......rarely do I see teams throw to his side. Its usually Akinyemi that isn't getting burned.

i predict that the mustangs will have the best game of the year. offense lights up the scoreboard, and defense shuts them down.

-Tony Eckert throws for 250 and 3 tds, having the best game of his D1A career.
-Munlin has 1 td, and dorsey runs for 80 yds and a td.
-Adami pulls in his 2nd career int, and has 2 1/2 sacks.
-O and D line have an outstanding game, beating up the nevada front line.

SMU 38
Nevada 17

Man, if we could get that offense going like last week we could beat a lot of teams! That was a LONG time coming. Here's hoping it continues...

Obviously you mean the offense in the 1st half, the 2nd half was horrible as we continued to run into the line of scrimmage on first and second down.

I just hope Rogers can play as he has become our best defensive lineman in the past several games.

I hope Nevada has as poor of team speed as Tulsa, I think Tulsa was the slowest team I have ever seen (except #3, he was on of the best athletes I have seen all year). They looked like they were all running in sand.

From what I've read, Nevada is similar to Tulsa on the speed thing - a few burners, but not a blazing team overall.

Ponies will find a way to win this one and will send the seniors out with a winning record at Ford (3-2) in their final season

SMU will have a chance to win this game just as they did in the Tulsa game with 200+ rushing, +2 in the turnover game and no breakdowns in the kicking game. They almost accomplished that goal last week in the Tulsa game except for the KO return-but then again they didn't win it in regulation because they failed to meet their kicking game goal. I'm most interested to see if a "light has gone on" with some of the more prominent young players like Desmond Jones, Cedrick Dorsey, Justin Boren et al. This is the time of the year you really need to see growth from those redshirt freshmen and sophmores.

Good point, Stallion -- we MUST win the turnover battle.

Come on, Ponies -- come out snarling mad, and hit them early .... so hard they don't know what hit 'em.
