Denver Broncos Waive SMU's Kris Briggs

BRIGGS WAIVED: The Broncos waived running back Kris Briggs off their practice squad Tuesday. :evil:

Briggs, a Southern Methodist University product, had spent time with the Green Bay Packers in training camp before being released.

The Broncos were expected to try to sign guard Tyson Clabo to fill the open spot on the practice squad.

The 6-foot-6, 314-pound Clabo was with the Broncos in training camp this summer before being released.

That sucks - hang in there, Kris.

Hope Briggs gets another shot with another team. (Come to think of it, how cool would it be to see Parcells waive some of the stiffs he has and go with a Briggs/Kincade backfield? Hell, I'd buy a ticket to see those guys together in the NFL.)
