I propose we do something memorable...maybe we could throw a party or something one night in Dallas (perhaps to coincide with a weekend bball game). Hell, I don't know. But we shouldn't just let the season end without doing something to celebrate our Ponies beating the #24 ranked team and going 4-4 in the WAC. Again, is said "IF"...

Any other ideas??

Party? I just hope everybody isn't bummed out after tomorrow about the season. My concern is not so much Utep's talent level, its the fact that we have consistently played so badly on the road this year.

I'm not saying we're going to win, but I do think we've gained enough confidence and rhythm to be able to pull this game off IF we come out swinging and bring our A+ game. It's most certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

I'm just trying to put some stakes on this game when I propose we do something if we win...I will be the first to admit that there is HUGE difference FOR THIS TEAM between going a lackadaisical 3-8, on one hand, OR 4-7 with a final win over the #24 ranked team in the country.

Instead of a party, why don't we all pledge to donate $100 to the Mustang Club???

I like that, I'll do it. $100 to the MC if we win. We need to a victory on the road big time.

The M-Club deal sounds good.

As for a party, Alumni can rent the Grand Ball Room on campus for cheap. The Mrs. and I rented it to have wedding reception after the TCU game last year. If you hire their bartender you can bring/purchase your own beer and wine ( No hard liquor allowed on campus ) Also, the snack food from the kitchen is quite good. SMU food has really changed.

Given the above, that would be a good location and with a few thousand dollars we could have a great party. Room holds at least 500 people.

How about getting the alumni band to come play!

How about we all meet at the Men's Club and spend our hundred bucks in a much more enjoyable fashion? In fact, we could do that win or lose!

Bus, I assume you plan on including the team and coaches as honored guest...in which case I would be happy to contribute a $100 bucks towards paying for that party (I already give to the MC and will continue to do so).

Hell jt, you can do that any time...break out of your social rut and do something different, like partying on Campus and letting the team know in a tangible way that we appreciate their hard work on our behalfs.

OK...so far we have the following true blue supporters agreeing to give $100 to the Mustang Club if the Ponies beat UTEP this weekend:

That's $600 bucks already. C'mon guys, put your money where you mouth is...pledge $100 to the MC if the Ponies win!!

Sure count me in. I still like Bus' idea about a party...if not a party, we ought to have a big group meet them when they return to the campus.
