The second day of practice was not much different from the first. It is kind of boring out there. The coaches are doing a lot of fundamental teaching, and the freshman are preparing for when the squad forms.

They did run a few plays without the OL and DL. Basically backs and receivers vs DB's and safeties. Page looks pretty decent. He has been working on a lot so his passing is not 100% on target; his arm looks good though. One receiver stood out to me, Trent Joeckel. He has speed and is very intense when he runs his routes.

Overall, the group is not that overwhelming. Nothing like last years class.

What's the word on this Rushbrook guy? Everything we hear is that he's the hottest recruit in years, and that coaches on each side of the ball want him desperately.

Is this the proverbial diamond in the rough? Was he heavily recruited by other schools? I remember reading someplace that he was considering a pro baseball career instead of college football, so maybe that scared some schools away. Whatever the reason, it's great that he's in Dallas!
