Of our losses this year, Fresno State scored 42 unanswered points against us; TCU scored 44, Rice 44, OSU 52 and now UTEP 45. That is 227 total unanswered points by only 5 opponents.

You can blame our lack of experience and injuries, as I do, but our coaches are also to blame as well. For a program that barely ekes out 15,000 fans per game, we cannot continue these meltdowns.

Well, what I thought was one of our strengths, though not as deep as I thought, turned out to be our major weakness... LB. We get some guys bak next year plus our RS-FR got some valuable experience.

Injuries killed us there and, basically, we replaced them with Safeties in the 200lb range. Helps ok in Pass D, but not so much in Run support ...

All in all, I thought 2 years ago this was our 'learning' year. Next year we either show signs of put or shut up.

If we don't win in 06, might was well shut it down. Having said that, I think we will be competitive next year. With luck and good QB play, win 5-6 games, maybe more.

If we can get a BIG JUCO WR to complement our liliputians and BChase/Ja-mond, then we could show some major improvement on the O.
