Went and watch my Tyler Lee Red Raiders beat the hell out of Richardson Berkner.. 34 - 6.

Next up.. Round Rock down in Waco.

Good luck to the Longview Lobos... I look for them to beat the Panthers and to those Tyler Lee Rebels... lookin' much better since I saw them play Trinity early in the season. My alma mater Carroll Dragons will be chalkin' up another one... Abilene Eagles the next victim.

Best of luck to the Lobos! I'll be in Huntsville with the Sam Houston State Bearkats as they host the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers (!) in round one of the NCAA Div. 1-AA playoffs. SHSU shares the 2004 Southland Conference title with the Northwestern State Demons.

Hey, slow down on that Bergermeister.

I think the Panthers will prevail, they'll pretty much have the home-field advantage, seein as how Nac is only 20 minutes from Lufkin. Longview, on the other hand, will bring lots of fans too. They're only a little over an hour from Nac, and they always have great crowds.

Regardless, It will be cool, 35, to see us square up again. Lufkin's beaten y'all the past few times the two teams have met, I think. Longview may be due.

I still think that district should have never been broken up. It was the best concentration of quality teams in the state, and probably the nation. I highly recommend to anyone that if you're anywhere near Sack-O-Roaches, you make it to the game. It'll be Texas HS football in its purest form.

So Lufkin, Tyler Lee, and Longview are still in the playoffs. The more things change.......
