GREAT for a defensive end. Nice hands - maybe could have played tight end, too?) And two fumble recoveries.
If the rumors about Coach Cavan getting fired are true, let's hope the defensive staff gets to stay - they've done a terrific job.
For all our complaints about coaching, some of which have been directed at Cavan, if the firing (or "request that he resign") is in fact true, I wish him well. Regardless of what anyone thinks of him as a coach, good or bad, he's a hell of a nice guy and he's been under a lot of heat for quite a while. Here's hoping that if the rumors prove true, he takes a nice relaxing trip to the golf course and unwinds in some privacy. He deserves it.
