All-WAC

OK, so we got shut out for the All-WAC team. Not right, but not the biggest surprise. Whatever. Personally, I thought Rolando Humphrey should have been a no-brainer, and Bobby Chase, Allan Adami and Alvin Nnabuife merited some consideration .... maybe second team or something.
But the thing that jumped out at me: How the hell was Mike Price NOT the coach of the year? He takes a program that's been in the gutter since .... forever, and leads the Miners to a great record (8-3, right?) and a bowl bid! I know Hawkins is a great coach up at Boise, and it's hard to argue with an undefeated record. But what Coach Price did was amazing in El Paso. Hell, he should be NATIONAL coach of the year.
My guess is that this is the WAC's way of sticking it to UTEP for leaving the WAC (since they couldn't leave all the UTEP players off the list). Maybe that same logic is the reason Humphrey didn't make the team for us.
Oh well -- goodbye, WAC.
