Jerry Levias was named to the ABC Sports all-American alumni team. His segment was on channel 8 at 1:00 pm today. Good segment about Jerry, Hayden Frye, and SMU.

...my first game as a kid was the 1968 Bluebonnet Bowl, of course, SMU 28 ou 27, maybe one of the best games in SMU footbal history. Hixson's 11 yard strike to LeVias in the 4th. Q got things started for the Ponies.....Jerry LeVias is one of my heroes, what a man, what a stud, what an inspiration. Long Live Jerry LeVias.

Can you believe our brilliant administration fired Hayden during a 7-4 season. Very easilily could have been 8-3. That, and the firing of Rossley post DP after a 5-6 season are two fine examples of the kind of decision making we have had to live with regarding football.

Working with the SMU Band Partership this past year enabled me to meet and get to know Jerry Levias on a personal basis. Not only was he a great football player, but I just can't express what a great person he truly is. This guy is the real acticle and a class act. We all owe Jerry a huge thank you and hope he continues his passion towards SMU.
