Steve David wrote in the Morning Line this morning that the semi-public interviewing of Mike Gottfried sounds like a Copeland plant, designed simply to throw us all off the scent of the candidates he's really pursuing. I agree. I don't think there's any chance that Gottfried will end up here. Sounds like perhaps a friendship arrangement, kind of like when Cavan flirted with Ole Miss and scored a contract extension from SMU instead.
