Coach Baker, Coach Kueck

These guys have their work cut out for them this week, figuring out what to do with/to Julius Peppers. The Tar Heels' DE is 6-6, and last I heard he's up to 290 -- and still runs a 4.5. For the point of comparison, that's faster than every lineman or linebacker at SMU, and faster than many of our small skill guys. Texas has an offensive line that looks like a row of dumpsters standing side-by-side, and they built their gameplan around Peppers.

So how do we approach this guy? Do we double- and triple-team him all night? Do we run away from him? Leave a tight end to help the tackle with him and run a running back at his knees? There's a lot of cigarette smoking going on in those offensive coach meetings.

I have the solution. Don't sweat it. He will be no problem. Just tell him to be at the stadium by 6:30 PM ready to get dressed for the 8 PM kickoff.

Peppers, like any All-American, will make his plays. The offense needs to stay consistant and pound Peppers (if possible) and the rest of the UNC defense. Peppers is a good player, but he isn't superman.

I'm calling it now.....Look for Big JoJo Slaten to have a huge game against Peppers!
GO MUSTANGS!
