so, who is gonna be the primary ball carrier in 2005? Is Richuel Massey going to emerge? Sounded like he went through some rough times personally last year. Will DeMyron Martin be ready? That guy sure has the look. Jesse Henderson? Any guesses and anyone I am forgetting? Were gonna miss Derron Brown's blocking.

Surely with Martin, Massey and Henderson we should have a solid running game next season.

As of right now, is Turner at running back or cornerback going into the spring?

Let's not forget Cedrick Dorsey, folks. I would think Dorsey and Martin might be the leaders heading into the spring, but who knows .... we have a lot of folks there. With Derron Brown graduated, does that mean Massey becomes a fullback? With the power he has, he might be very effective.

wasn't massey listed as a fullback this past year? I also thought someone said he was upset about not being a running back

It does not matter who is running back next year. The coaches better get the guys blocking to do a better job if we are going to be a balanced team. It starts first with the offensive line. If we get better blocking next year then we will certainly see better production regardless who is the running back.

Duh, I did forget Dorsey. That makes me feel better that we have some game experience back.

Indeed, Johnny. And I've been ranting about the OLine for years. But I think the OLine effects the qb much more. A good running back can still make a huge difference relatively speaking. I know its pro, but look at the obvious difference you could see between Julius Jones and Eddie George with the same blockers. It was a huge difference. You could see it a few years ago with Shanderrick Charles for the brief time he was healthy also.

Massey will be fine he's a team player and I think he will give the team what it asks of him.Massey is a good young man who has been through a lot.I know that this has been a big part of who he is. I wish the best for him.

I saw Fred Turner on campus yesterday, and he looks like he's gotten added some muscle, even since the end of the season. He's always been fast, but if he's a little stronger, I'd think he might have a bigger role, on offense or special teams -- or maybe both.

I don't know if it will be considered a surprise to see Martin do well in the spring. Running with the scout team in the fall, he caught the coaches' eyes time after time.
