COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Ticker) - The Mountain West Conference on Wednesday announced it will introduce instant replay this season, assuming it receives formal approval from the NCAA on February 24.

The proposal was approved by the league's board of directors during the conference's January 28 meeting in Las Vegas. Input was solicited from athletic directors and football coaches, and a subcommittee was formed to fully outline the details of the replay plan.

The subcommittee recommendation will be forwarded to the MWC athletic directors, who will consider the proposed plan and develop funding methods to be approved by the board of directors.

I expect it won't be long before every conference has it. Big 10 has it. ACC is adding it. Mountain West is trying to add it. Big 12 is considering it.

It's quickly becoming the rule, not the exception.
