Texas Longhorn Story:

On an October Saturday afternoon a guy walks into an Austin bar on Sixth Street with a dachshund under his arm.

The dog is wearing a burnt orange "LONGHORN" jersey, UT helmet, and is festooned with "UT" pompons.

The bartender says, "Hey! No pets are allowed in here! You'll have to leave!"

The guy begs him, "Look, I'm desperate. We're both big UT fans, my TV at home is broken, and this is the only place around where we can see the Texas/OU game!"

After securing a promise that the dog will behave, and warning him
that he and the dog will be thrown out if there's any trouble, he
relents and allows them to stay in the bar and watch the game.

The Texas/OU game begins with "TEXAS" receiving the kickoff.

The Longhorns march down field, get stopped at about the 30, and kick a field goal.

With that the dog jumps up on the bar, and begins walking up and down
the bar giving high-fives to everyone, even does the "Hook'em sign with it's paw.

The bartender says, "Wow, that is the most amazing thing I've ever
seen! "What does the dog do if the Longhorns beat Oklahoma?

The owner replies, "I don't know, I've only had the dog for 5 years!

NOW THAT IS FUNNY!!!

Too funny!!!!!!!!!

LOL!!! I would pull for ANYONE or ANYTHING against those longhorns!

Now those are funny -- really funny.

I don't know that I'd root for ANYONE over Texas -- it would be a shock to my system, but I'd have to root for the little orange cows over TCU, Baylor, Penn State and of course Notre Dame.

Certainly against Penn State since they gave a charity National Championship to them in 1983 instead of giving it to the only undefeated team in the Country (us). I still like to see Baylor beat them, I did in 1974 and would like to see it again. The Frogs would just wear it as a badge of honor. Notre Dame, I guess I'd like to see a tie.

I support Texas against out-of-state competition, particularly Oklahoma.

Texas only gets my vote vs Froggies, ND, & Aggies. USC might eventually move into that category, they are not wearing their success very well.

Of course it would be nice if we could get back to a spot where we can beat those guys ourselves, but too much has to happen for me to even get my brain around that one.
