Brandon Bonds has done absolutely nothing in his SMU career to merit that kind of superlatives. Does he have even 10 tackles or 1 sack? I'm serious-I thought the guy STILL looks very poorly conditioned. I'd like to see him make a big play first before we start nominating him for MVP.

He looks a hell of a lot thinner and quicker, and with Adami gone and Jones coming off a knee injury, Bonds is going to have to play a lot more. He played pretty well the other day -- at least a couple of tackles in the backfield. You're right -- he's never going to look like Devin Lowery or Ryan Mentzel, size-wise, but you have to admit he looks much better than last year.
