Bennett on Dale HansenRumor has it Coach Bennett is on Hansen's broadcast tonight (Sunday)
Re: Bennett on Dale HansenNot sure what to make of the interview. Bennett was impressive, and Hansen seemed to be kidding up to him, showering him with praise. But knowing Hansen as the anti-Pony that he is, I wonder if he had some ulterior motive.
If he was, in fact, genuine, maybe we'll actually get some fair coverage from Channel 8. Good to see Coach Bennett making himself visible in the local media. Can only help the program.
Re: Bennett on Dale HansenWith Hansen it is hard to tell, but it was a good sign, I think, that he had Coach Bennett on at all and that the interview was a fairly long one. I don't recall Hansen doing that with Cavan at all. Only time will tell for sure, but it would be nice to have all the Dallas media sort of in our corner.

Re: Bennett on Dale HansenOr at least unbiased, and interested in the only university in town ... since they claim to be a Dallas station. But keep in mind, Channel 8 is owned by the same Belo geniuses who, judging by the Belo-owned Morning News, think UT and A&M are in Dallas.

Re: Bennett on Dale HansenDidn't I read somewhere that Belo gave a sh*t load of money to SMU - or am I mistaken.

Re: Bennett on Dale HansenI believe that the Belo Corporation has recently established a well endowed chair in Journalism at SMU.
