Highland Park junior Matt Stafford, one of the nation's top-rated quarterbacks in the 2006 recruiting class, committed to Georgia on Friday during a news conference at his school.

Stafford (6-foot-3, 210 pounds) received offers from more than 40 schools, including Texas.

Note from MM1965: Georgia has become THE school for Highland Park kids (athletes and non-athletes) to choose for their higher education.

Sad to read. Even sadder to think kids would want to go to uga. Pathetic. I've never liked uga, and really even more so now that I married a Gator.
