Posted: Mon May 23, 2005 1:33 pmPretty sure it was a run but I am old and feeble minded. However, if I am correct, it is the record for longest run from scrimmage, and definitely will stand forever as the longest run from scrimmage without scoring.
Posted: Mon May 23, 2005 2:03 pmTrue story - took a buddy of mine to his first game at Ford Stadium and right before the ball was snapped, he said, "Watch him break it here." I was too smart and replied that Briggs was too slow to run 96 yards.
Posted: Tue May 24, 2005 8:56 amI still can't believe Briggs made it all the way down the sideline on that play. I didn't think he had the wheels to outrun DBs, but what a great play that was!
