What about lopsided loss? Probably won't make the top 90.
The winner gets....nothing.

TriviaWithout resorting to google or the media guide, who knows the opponent and the score of SMU's most lopsided victory? Might make the top 90.

Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Nope.

Yes, the score was 146-3 and we scored the initial 3 points of the game. Not exactly a steel curtain defense.
can u imagine how those kids felt after that??!!
i'm sure it was one of two extremes! ![]() ![]() ![]() BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
Yes. On November 17, 1916, we got trounced by Rice 146-3. What I want to know is when did we get the field goal? Was it in the late 4th quarter? Was Rice PO'd that they let us get a field goal? And before anyone asks, no that isn't close to the biggest rout in NCAA history. Georgia Tech beat Cumberland 222-0. ![]() At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Nobody has a guess on our most lopsided victory?

Read the part where it says "we scored the INITIAL (meaning first) three points of the game" that means that we got the field goal in the first quarter (not the fourth). also, i doubt that rice was that upset about us getting three points. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Nah, we've done better than 42 points. Here is a hint, while it wasn't triple digits, the defense did get a shutout.

Very good. BTW, Daniel Baker College closed its doors in 1958 (Cue Greenday's "Good Riddance (Time of your life)").
The website I found this on is http://www.jhowell.net/cf/scores/SouthernMethodist.htm. It really is a great site. It has the records and schedules of every Div. 1 team dating back to the 1800's. Another good site is http://michigan-football.com/ncaa/f/smethods.htm, though it is not as user friendly, it is a "prettier" website. It only goes back to 1950, but it includes 1-AA and Division II and defunct Div. 1 teams as well. I prefer the first site because it has more information such as game location, opposing team record and game date and it allows you to jump from team to team in season to see their schedules.
