The topics Phil, Jimmy and I covered during the three nights were consistent. For Phil, it was about the improvement that he expects out of his program in his fourth year. He feels confident that this will be the deepest team has he coached during his time at SMU. Phil told the groups that he will turn 50 years old on Dec. 3 and he wanted to invite them to his birthday party in Ford Stadium that day for the inaugural Conference USA Championship game. That drew great applause at each stop
Hmmm thatd be fun[/quote]

I didn't know that CUSA had determined where the champ. game would be held. It would be smart to do it like the MAC has done, and have the division winner w/ the better record host it. I've heard about the Austin meeting; how many people were at the San Antone & Houston get-togethers?

Read the AD Notes...he says how many were at each outing.

Thanks for the heads-up, PK. The largest turnout was 75. A few weeks ago I read I think in DMN about Urban Meyer's first year preparations at Florida. It talked about how when he was at Bowling Green, the booster events would be 50-75 people, while the Gator Club events had lines for the bathroom that long. I wonder if there were more than 3 such events for Bowling Green.
Man, we've got a ways to go.
