New football uniforms?

Postby East Coast Mustang » Fri Jun 17, 2005 9:15 pm

I think I remember reading something on this board a while back about updates to the football unis for '05. Has anyone heard anything new?

Where did you get your Texas Football. I heard on TV that it hits the
newstands on June 20th. For the east Texas Ponyfans on here: Tyler Lee
was rated 3rd, Lufkin 5th ?, and Longview 6th in the preseason 5A poll.

i picked up one as well! on a sad note, seventeen seasons after the death penalty, smu is picked dead last by all four of the publications i have seen. please don't confuse the league that we are playing in for the big twelve, it's just a small step above 5A. when you return 22 starters in this level of competition, and the consensus is you are the worst of the bottom dwellers..........it's kind of depressing. we better find a way to win some frikin' games THIS YEAR!!! for all of you copeland fans, this has gotten worse on his watch!

what's depressing is what the mag has now become

nothing more than a showcase for the bcs-bs conferences & their two favorites - the teasips & the farmers!!

haven't bought it in yrs nor will i buy it this year again!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Actually, it also has an unhealthy Baylor slant, too, since Campbell is a BU grad who thinks his alma mater actually belongs in discussions with the big boys. Most of its college previews are fairly accurate, but only because they hire local writers to preview the teams they regularly cover. It's not like some other mags where some guy sits in an office across the country (hello, Phil Steele) and writes a preview based on press releases and a spring prospectus without even knowing where the school is. The strength of Campbell's mag is the amount of info it has on the high schools, although the accuracy of that info is damn-near impossible to determine (since the HS profiles are done through questionaires filled out by the HS coaches.) Take it for what it is, and remember that you'll pay much more than it's worth.

Stripes going up the sides to the sleeves? So it will be those panels like the Broncos have? Ugh.

The Athletic Department has now finally destroyed one of the best uniforms there ever was in NCAA. The blue helmets are bad enough and now this. Who is doing this?

Nike, I would bet.

Hey, at least it's not the comical red Jets uniforms from a few years back.

What was wrong with these jerseys?

Image

They look much better than the red/blue mixture we have now.
