Poopley, I don't think he was projected as a starter, but he probably would have played quite a bit. Here's the recruiting report on him from ponyfans.com:

thank you. sounds more like a depth player on saturdays, but always good to have hard workers in practice, etc.

Sorry if my response was terse, but if he was homesick and his heart was not on playing at SMU, there is no way to evaluate his spring play. He may turn out to be a great player or he may never play another down. Tough to predict when the heart is moved from football to other things.

My apologies if this has been discussed before, but if he wasn't going to start here, what on earth would Bill Snyder want with him? Or is he quitting football entirely, to go be with some girl.
