Sports on Demand Network

Postby aus10fromhous10 » Wed Jun 29, 2005 3:42 am

There is a new service coming out in the fall called Sports on Demand Network. It is a subscription based service where people can sign up to receive daily, radio-style sportscasts about their college's athletics on their cell phones. The service also includes pregame and in game updates on game days. Also, it includes coach and player interviews during the week and after the game. There are student reporters who represent 88 Division I-A schools and who collect information and perform interviews as well as voice the broadcasts on game days. Yours truly is going to be the reporter for SMU. Its a really exciting company and product, they have a website:

Sorry to be plugging my work on here, but I hope its something that you diehards, especially the ones who don't live in the SMU area, can take advantage of. The plan is to cover football and basketball in the first year, and then move to cover other sports as the company grows. If you have any questions about it or are interested in it, check out the website or send me an email at [email protected]

Good luck with that. Sounds like a cool project, and a good chance for you to get some reporting work. Knock 'em dead.
