Carlton CooperThe DMN said today that Carlton Cooper, the associate AD or something, is among three finalists for the head AD job at Delaware State.
Good. I hope the door hits him in the a** on the way out! I am so disgusted with the way some things are going on The Hilltop right now, I could puke.

Hold on there, MM65. Carlton Cooper is one of the great assets this athletic department has. He's an absolutely tireless worker and does more to make us visible (and not just in North Texas) than just about anyone. Losing Coop would be a tremendous loss. He's a great guy, and I wish him all the success in the world, and I hope he gets an AD job if that's what he wants. But let's not celebrate his exit. When you have something of value, don't throw it away.
Carlton Cooper is a great guy and an asset to SMU. I don't like some of the things that still go on but it sure ain't Mr. Coopers fault. He works his @$$ off and I for one thank him. If he does go I understand improving yourself but I would like to see him stay.
Love you hippie. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
I retract my earlier statement. My apologies. I hope Jim Copeland is taking a month's long vacation to look for a new job, though. Actually, HE'S the one that I hope the door hits in the a** on the way out.
Someone circulate a memo: give Carlton Cooper a raise if you have to. He's a tremendous asset for the University. Keep him around.
"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Better luck next time, Carlton.
DOVER -- Delaware State University will introduce Chuck Bell, who has run two Division I-A college athletic programs, as its athletic director, perhaps as early as next week. Bell, who was formerly the athletic director at San Jose State and Utah State, will likely be announced formally when DSU president Allen Sessoms returns from a family vacation in Europe. At age 60 and just eight months removed from announcing his retirement, Bell will be the first white athletic director at Delaware State, a historically black college. DSU has a Division I-AA football program and is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
