Posted: Tue Jul 05, 2005 11:21 amIts also interesting that they make no attempt to use the true blue and red school colors in the website which was forced down our throats a few years ago by 'committe' designed to standardize school traditions. Ron Meyer had it right with the slightly brighter blue before the darker actual school colors were mandated. Who in the hell cares if the shade of blue was a slight bit lighter. Apparently, the main university website doesn't.

And, it's not 'Blood, Sweat and Tears'. It's the end of a song called "Get It On" by a band named Chase. They were a brass, string and percussion ensemble...similar in style to Chicago and BS&T. Sadly, Bill Chase - band leader - and 3 members of Chase were killed in a plane crash in 1974.

Stallion - agree completely. The athletic dept has to comply with 'official' school colors, yet the official school website is colored in a lighter blue and TAN. Explain that one to me.
MM65 - good job on the Chase reference, most people don't recognize that little riff on the end of the Peruna sequence. Awesome band, sad they only had 2 albums or so before that accident.
