Prove Dr. Phil wrong

Postby Diamond Girl » Thu Jul 07, 2005 7:49 pm

In the DMN this morning, there was an article about Dr. Phil and his son Jordan attending freshman orientation yesterday. At the end, the SMU marketing director asked Dr. Phil if the Ponies would beat TCU, and he responded, "Get real." Okay, Mustangs. This is the motivation you've been looking for. Prove Dr. Phil wrong and beat the h$ll out of TCU!!!

I sawthat, too, and it hacked me off a little. Is Dr. Phil a little froggie or something? That was pretty uncalled for, if you ask me, and frankly, the story didn't merit having that included. If/when we shock the world and send the little froggies with their tail nubs between their legs after losing to SMU, he should be required to apologize and tout SMU on his show.

Then again, what can you expect from someone who learned everything he knows from Blowhard Winfrey?

[deleted] that quack! He should be thrown in jail and censured by whatever professional association oversees psychiatric care! He has not business nor right to do what he does on the airwaves.

As for his comment about the SMU v. TCU game, I don't care what he thinks. He was run out of Lubbock for his stance with Oprah against the cattle industry. Let's run him out of Dallas, too. And his son better watch out...he may soon find himself a very unpopular freshman.

Dr. Phil doesn't know the first thing about psychiatry...and obviously football, too.

I repeat: [deleted] HIM!

Dr. Phil is no froggie...I think he's a North Texas State Teacher's school alum. Could be Tx. Women's, though...I know it's one of the two.

After what I saw last year at Amon Carter he knows more about football than I thought. Aside from the Navy game I have never been more disgusted with this program. Coach Bennett did NOT have this team ready to play a football game. If you can't get up to play TCU then turn in your helmet. We had a better team than 44-0. I guess we were satisfied keeping it close with the Sand Aggies.

Until we can show we can compete, Dr Phil is right. SMU's job is to prove him wrong...

Recent history of SMU football would suggest he knows more about it than you.

Apparently his son is a SMU freshman, so relax. Dr. Phil will convert when we beat the Frogs.

actually Dr. Phil has made some incredibly glowing comments about the education his oldest son received at SMU and now is sending another son here.

Phil played football for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, according to "E! True Hollywood Story."

Hard to criticize a man who sends both of his sons here...
