I know everybody is enjoying their vacations on the Hilltop but apparently nobody has saw fit to congratulate the record number of players who have been invited to play in the Texas High School Coaches All Star Game in the San Antonio Alamodome on July 26th. I was told by a source that there would be 6 which I didn't believe so I checked. The roster posted on Texas Football lists 4 Mustangs although who knows there could be some late commitment or walkons on the team(I notice some previously uncommitted players like Terrance Flagg who we were after). Confirmed participants include RB James Mapps, WR Emanuel Sanders,TE Jeff Brock, and LM Patrick Handy. This game is usually telecised by Fox SW so tune in.

That's fantastic. Any idea who the other two are?
Or what time the game will be shown Tuesday?
Congratulations to the incoming all-star Mustangs!

SMUMustangs.com has an article that adds Chris Parham who I think is a late addition because he didn't appear on the Texas Football or THSCA press release.

well I guess there really are 6 SMU players in the game. My SA.com a San Antonio outlet says that Cuero QB Matt Schumaker was hurt over the summer and has been replaced by his Cuero teammate and SMU recruit Ross Nigh. BTW one of the strange rules about this game is that only one player from each high school can represent his school.
