I don't see how that is a downer. It is a fact. And it was in the '30s when there were no rules. The only hting that bugs me is reading pro athletes talk about memories from college that were clear violations of NCAA rules and nobody cares.

Wow, what if The Doaker had decided to go to Texas? Imagine how different SMU's football history would have been without him.
