FR DT Chase Smith

I was wondering if anyone had seen freshman DT Chase Smith of Flower Mound play in High School. It is my understanding that he is 6-4 280lbs., runs a 4.9 40, can bench 400lbs. and squat over 500lbs. He is strong and quick for a 280 lbs. true freshman. Hope he can contribute early.

He may need to put some time in this year. He has the size and I hope he can adjust to the size of college O-line and the speed of the game.

With the loss of Adami and Jones and Mouton, he might have to. By all accounts, he certainly has the strength for the job -- let's see how quickly he picks up the defense. I like what I've heard about him so far.
