Are you sure this is new? They've got Utah #3.

After doing some checking around, those rankings are for the end of last year.

They had Tech ranked 13 spots ahead of A&M when Tech lost to A7M last year. Hmmm, that makes sense.

Didn't they also beat Neb and TCU 70-35ish? And should have played in the BCS champ game CALI?

Whereas, aTm lost to Baylor...

So obviously Baylor should be ranked ahead of A&M

You would get less argument from me if BU were ranked ahead of A&M than if Tech were. Since Tech lost to A&M after they beat TCU and after A&M lost to BU, some could make the argument that A&M improved towards the end of the season and therefore was the better team.

If you really think that any team quarterbacked by Sonny Cumbie was better than A&M then I don't know what to tell you.

Not to get too deep into this, but y'all lost 4 out of five of your last games. Tech finished off with a win against a top five team. If anyone finished strong I would say they did. But whatever, I was really just replying to the over simplified "we beat them on the field" comment.

As for Cumbie, he was smart enough to figure out Leach's which made him a pretty solid college QB. Anywhere else, you're probably right, he doesn't see the field.
