Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach will be the guest speaker at the inaugural Football Kickoff Luncheon Wednesday, Aug. 17 at noon at the Radisson Hotel Central Dallas Grand Ballroom.
Yards after catch important
One area of concern is yards after catch for SMU's receivers. Last season, Mustang receivers averaged 12 yards a catch, which is 1.7 yards better than the previous season. A lack of speed and the learning of a new offense didn't give SMU receivers the ability to make more plays after catching the ball to increase the numbers.
