Interesting fact from that game:
On SMU’s final drive for the winning points, Eric, who was clearly out of bounds on the Arkansas side of the field, takes a blow to the head from an Arkansas player standing on the sidelines. Referee sees it, but doesn’t throw a flag.
Player should have been ejected, a 15-yard penalty should have been assessed, and SMU probably makes the last-second field goal. SMU then enters the Cotton Bowl as the only undefeated and untied team in America. With the National Championship on the line, that Mustang team would not have lost to anyone.

was that on the pass to the flat-Eric had one Razorback one on one and I was sure he was going to take it to the house or at least get in easy FG range but the Arkansas player made a great play - seem to remember something about a late hit too.

he set the NHL single season rushing mark with 2,105 yards
Now that's what I call a versatile back...

Picky, picky...Eric wasn't going to let a little ice get in his way anyway, so what's the beef.
