I know, it doesn't count until it counts. But I was trying to warn you that the Bears will have a better team this year - we would have beaten the Big 12 North champions last year, and collecetd a couple of other wins that got away due to depth. If there is anything we have now, it is depth.
I guess you don't want to feel better about your team. Fine.
Do you realize how many games I have been to over the past 14 years that SMU was a turnover away from winning the damn game?
We should have been 7-4 one year under Rossley, but a turnover away in 3 games prevented that.
The 0-fer-12 year under Bennett, we were a turnover away from Beathing BAYLOR, Nevada, UTEP, and Fresno State (that was a good FSU team)...but we didn't. 0-12
A turnover away analysis works when your team went 10-1 one year, dropped to 5-6 but was a turnover away in 3 or 4 games, then bounces back to 9-2 the next year.
It doesn't work when you are 2-10, 3-8, 3-8 or whatever BU has been.
