Just curious as to who you guys think is our best player. In other words, who do you think will have the most positive impact on the season. My vote goes to DD Lee.

Kennedy's going to be great, but I'll cast my vote for Alvin Nnabuife.

Kennedy.
But Eckert will have to be the best player on the team if we have any hopes for a winning season.

Now, what's frightening...and maybe disheartening...is that this time a year ago, a lot of people would've said Phillips. Let's hope Kennedy doesn't have a fall quite so far as Phillips...if not in skill level, then in public opinion/perception. Well, I guess one can't say 'public;' it's SMU, after all.

I hope this isn't like the Sports Illustrated curse.
My pick: Ryan Kennedy.

I'd say that it's not that Phillips' skills have declined -- rather, that Eckert and Romo have improved. I still think Phillips has a lot of good football in him. But the other two made significant progress last year.

yeah it would be nice if we had at least one All-Conference player this year.

We will -- Kennedy and Nnabuife. Don't know if they'll be first team, but they'll make it. Maybe Humphrey.
But you're right -- it sure would be nice to have more.

Anyone who can directly snap the ball to the QB, punter or holder should get the MVP.

Nacho, all those mis-snaps at the 'scrimmage' were simply to confuse all the amateur scouts from Baylor. Youre not really worried are you? Mustangs by 4 touchdowns all the way. Do I get the sunshine award of the day?

HF for all the sunshiners all over the world I hope you are correct, sir. We made enough bad snaps to lose to a 3-a team. We cannot afford give-aways like that. Some of those bad snaps would have been a sure 6 for Baylor. We could lose 50-0 if that isn't corrected.
Baylor is awful, pitiful and disgusting. And that's just their female students. A$M is going to put the big hurt on them this year. Now that is a game I would like to see.
I felt a lot more confident before I saw our scrimmage. Highlights: Dorsey, Kennedy. Lowlights: o-line. QB play--suspect.
When your game plan is to hope for a lucky break you might be in trouble.
