8/26/2005 - Mustang All Access, part of CSTV's All Access package, makes its debut on Tuesday, August 30 with the live airing of SMU head football coach Phil Bennett's Tuesday press conference from Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The live airing will be the first of over 40 live events to be shown on smumustangs.com during the fall athletic season. Click here for a complete fall lineup and to sign up today!!

Not sure what all of this means. They talk about live broadcasts on your computer and the Baylor game is included. You may want to go over to smumustangs.com and look into this a little more closely.

Excellent news! The days are over of listening to the broadcast of the game on the radio at midnight on a Saturday night to determine the outcome of an SMU game. TCU fans will understand what I am talking about soon.

Wow. I can't believe it... actually, I do "believe" it, because if you look back a few months I predicted this in a post called "Math Skills", or some such... When CUSA announced their new television deal they listed the number of televised games for the conference as a whole... and, by doing a little extra homework, I concluded that every team should have around 7-9 games covered by the full package... with the remainders picked up by other TV packages IF the matchup warrants it.

When I posted the "Math Skills" thread everyone said I was dellusional, but no one else took the time to do the math... I, of course, could not believe that I was right.

I anxiously await the official announcement.

...and PK, if you noticed, there are some games, like the Marshall game that aren't on the All Acsess... which leads me to believe that the Marshall game will a national CSTV event (all acsess is a part of the CSTV empire). A&M, being on FSN - CUSA probably didn't want to have to worry about throwing the Big XII some extra cash to put it on our all acsess airwaves (err, "internet waves")...

I'm sure gonna miss the homers, Rich and Craig... "Oh, come on! What kind of phantom hold call did they see on that play?" ... I guess I'll have to occaisionally listen to them while watching the broadcast.

I knew it, as soon as we got into a respectable conference things would start flowing.. Imagine what all the tv coverage could do for the program... One w/ the greatness of college football, what if we had a huge blowout and it was on tv and two $$$...

Is there someway we can find out what channels the games will be on and does this mean that ppv college gameday will air more smu games?

For those that are too far away to make the game...according to the game notes info on smumustangs.com, Mustang All Access will stream the Baylor game live through smumustangs.com on a pay-per-view basis.

Here's a stupid question....let's say I have to work Saturday night (which I do), and will be nowhere near a computer at gametime. Will the footage be archived, so I can watch it at a later time? Or highlights, at least? I'm going to be working a lot of Saturdays, and I'm trying to figure out if the $7 a month is worth it. Damn, I am one cheap rube. Anyway, the Total Access page doesn't give a whole lot of specifics about what they're planning to show. I'd like to see a schedule, if they have one.

Whent they were promoting the thing they claimed that there would be "classic games" available for download... I think it would be foolish for them to not, at least, have the game available for the intervening week. But, then again, I don't know for sure.

But they do say that they will have highlights.

Thats what I was told today, our games that are not on Pax, CSTV, or Fox, will probably be on ALL ACCESS. They said the feed should be pretty smooth.

I just watched a little of the volleyball team playing NTSU on the All Access thingy. While the camera angle leaves something to be desired, the feed and picture quality are quite excellent, I think this is going to work quite well. Nice job CSTV. For an out of towner, this is a bargain at 7 bucks a month.
