Can someone please explain to me what Burns is trying to do in the "spread offense"???

What a joke. Romo was 3 of 8. Nothing to the TE...he is the BIGGEST target we have and is not utilized at all.

As someone said, same [deleted], different year. Nothing much has changed.
Blocked kicks, turnovers, ....etc.....

Ron Myer said that the passing offense under Mike Ford could go 99, but not one. So he changed to the pony express and the rest is history.

The SMU coaching staff should burn this weeks film and spend the week studying what UT does with Vince Young-combine the read option with a mobile passing pocket. Put Phillips and Willis at the top of the depth chart and start building experience at the position for 2006. I think SMU could actually have a pretty decent offensive attack if they would utilize the youngsters in the running attack. BTW other than the fumble I was relieved to see the reports that Massey is a totally different player this year-I was seriously concerned he was a bust.

Massey was fantastic. I was really impressed, a lot quicker and stronger than Dorsey and less tentative. The run he fumbled on was one hell of a run up to that point, the baylor player just put his helmet on the ball.

Another good sight was that Massey got the ball again the first play of the next drive, so he wasn't punished for trying hard.

We do NOT have the O-line to be calling so many slow develping plays. Running backs seemed to be going from side to side instead of pounding in the hole.
