We lost the game because SMU couldn't stop the run in the 4th.
After the fumble recovery by Humphrey Romo should have played, not Eckert; however Eckert did do an excellent job on the last SMU scoring drive. Where was that offense prior to that series?
Anybody see Kennedy make a catch? Anybody see a ball thrown to Kennedy?
Same old story. We play not to lose and then lose.
Jesse Henderson is fabulous He should be the starting running back. Massey and Dorsey are good but Henderson looks like a true star.
I'll be watching the TCU game on tv not in person. When it becomes evident that we are going to get blown out I'll simply change channels.
I don't think we have made significantly improvement in over 10 years. 2-3 wins would almost be miraculous in C-USA.
SMU is not willing to do what it needs to do to be competitive so I'm not willing to play along and enable them to get away with it.
We are the cross town whipping boys.

Nacho you take time to post in this forum, but can't get your arse out to the stadium saturday night because TCU will probably beat us?I am sure our players really appreciate your loyal support!

I plan to be at the game Saturday. While I am quickly losing faith and confidence in Coach Phil's abilities to be a HC, I'm not going to punish the players in the process by not going to the games...yet. The players are the ones who committed to playing football at SMU. For that reason alone, I will show them my support through the end of each game.

From now on I will only go to games where SMU is favored. That should be ECU this year. Unfortunately I have a wedding to go to that day. Maybe I can mak it for the first half.
I will no longer enable SMU. Tough love for sure but that's the way I feel. Fortunately next year I will have a new school to root for. A school that wants to win and is willing to back it up. I will always want SMU to win but it will be from a safe distance. Getting too close to that situation is toxic.

Baylor was in a prevent defense for that last series thus allowing our reciever (Chase) to get open.

I saw one pass to Kennedy...unfortunately it should not have been thrown...Kennedy had two defenders hanging on him at the time. We did get an interference call and 10 yards out of it, but there was no way he could have caught that pass.
He may have been kept in to block instead of running routes...I just don't know.

Just out of curiousity, what school will you be rooting for next year?
And who the hell planned a wedding during college football season?

That's grounds for divorce in my family.

BUTitan you have hit the nail on the head. I will no longer enable SMU. Too bad about the wedding. I would have liked to see one win this year. The way I see it I am going to spare myself a lot of needless heartache by doing other things instead of watching SMU lose football games. I'll be following the spreads. If by some chance SMU is favored over some other team then I will go to that game. This is my new model for going to SMU football games.

MM65 My niece who went to TCU is getting married on that day. True. I am not making this up. As for the new school it is down to 3 choices. A dear and close relative will have to make that decision. SMU is not in the mix. Thank goodness.

Damn...didn't her husband-to-be use a condom?
What are the 3 choices?
