What was up with the score updates?

All in all, I was very impressed with the gameday experience at SMU...the Boulevard especially.
One area that needs improvement is announcing timely scores. Several fans had Watchmans or radios and the A&M-Clemson score was always at least one full quarter behind when they announced it over the PA.
In this day and age, it seems like you have to deliberately try to be that inept. Didn't anybody in the pressbox at Ford Stadium have a TV that could pick up Channel 8? Couldn't someone get on the internet and access the Yahoo! live game updates? FWIW, Baylor isn't much better...a lot of the scores that they scroll across on their North endzone scoreboards are usually just as untimely.
